The Europa House opened in Tashkent in 2004 and is accredited at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
The main objective of the Europa House is to support the Uzbek authorities in EC-EU cooperation development in order to increase the knowledge and visibility of EC/EU programmes and policies with the Uzbek stakeholders and general public.

We act as a focal point for EC-EU related initiatives in the country. We also maintain and increase the visibility, awareness and understanding of the EU by developing and implementing an information and communication strategy. The Europa House works very closely with EC colleagues based in Brussels, mainly from the DG External Relations and from the DG EuropeAid, and also with the European embassies accredited in Uzbekistan.

The relations between the European Union and Uzbekistan are based on the Partnership and Cooperation Agreement (PCA) which entered into force in 1995, and on the European Union and Central Asia: Strategy for a New Partnership that was adopted in 2007.
